Maringouin Community Mourns Cindy Perritt, 33, After Tree Falls Onto Camper on Sparks Road
The community of Maringouin, Louisiana, mourns Cindy Perritt, 33, who died early Thursday morning, August 27, 2026, after a tree fell onto the camper where Cindy Perritt was staying.
Around 4:30 a.m., deputies with the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to Sparks Road after receiving a report about the fallen tree and camper trailer.
Deputies found Cindy Perritt inside the camper, and the Iberville Parish Coroner’s Office later pronounced Cindy Perritt deceased.
Acadian Ambulance, the Maringouin Fire Department, and the Maringouin Police Department also responded and assisted at the scene.
Family, friends, loved ones, and neighbors remember Cindy Perritt with deep affection as they mourn an unexpected passing that has left the community with lasting sadness.
