Konstantin Gerantidi, 17, died after a late-night crash on the Belt Parkway in Brooklyn, New York, on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
The crash happened shortly after 11:30 p.m. near 65th Street and Exit 1 in the Bay Ridge area.
Authorities said five teenagers traveled in a Cadillac Escalade that became involved in a crash with a Honda HR-V before the Cadillac struck a guardrail and overturned.
Konstantin and two other teenagers, 18-year-old Huzayfah Makharesh and 16-year-old Abdul Rehman, later died at the hospital.
Family and friends remember Konstantin as a loved son, sibling, friend, and member of the Brooklyn community.
A GoFundMe was created to help Konstantin’s mother and sister with funeral expenses as they grieve the sudden loss.
Investigators continued reviewing the circumstances, and initial reports said no charges had been announced.
