Richard Jobes Of Harrington, Delaware, Remembered After Fatal Roadside Incident On Whiteleysburg Road
Richard Jobes, 62, of Harrington, Delaware, was pronounced dead at the scene after state troopers found two people in a ditch along the 200 block of Whiteleysburg Road around 3:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
Authorities said Richard Jobes had a fatal upper-body injury, while 36-year-old Richard Jobes II was also found deceased nearby.
The discovery happened just outside Harrington town limits, where emergency crews and Delaware State Police responded during the early morning hours.
Investigators closed the roadway, reviewed the area, and asked anyone who traveled on Whiteleysburg Road late Tuesday night to share information.
Officials transported both deceased people to the medical examiner’s office for autopsies as the investigation continued.
Richard Jobes will be remembered by those who knew them in Harrington and beyond as the community absorbs the loss from this early morning tragedy.
