Ashley Apodaca-Avila Remembered After Daughters Found Both Parents Dead In East Las Vegas Home On Monday Afternoon
Ashley Apodaca-Avila, 33, died Monday afternoon inside an East Las Vegas apartment near South Nellis Boulevard after authorities responded around 3:40 p.m.
Ashley’s 17-year-old daughter Laila and 14-year-old daughter Lia returned home after school and found both parents unresponsive inside the residence.
Medics attempted life-saving care, but Ashley died at the scene.
Ashley worked long hours as a talented pastry cook at local Las Vegas spots, including Makers & Finders and Take It Easy.
Loved ones remembered Ashley as an energetic parent who centered life around giving the two teenagers stability, care, and opportunities.
Family members have since stepped forward to care for Laila and Lia as the community supports them through a painful loss.
