Ronald Fraley, 18, Of Fort Gay, Remembered After Fatal Two-Car Crash On U.S. Route 52 Near Kenova, West Virginia
Ronald Fraley, an 18-year-old from Fort Gay, died Thursday afternoon, August 27, after a two-car crash on U.S. Route 52 in Wayne County.
The crash happened around 4:37 p.m. near the Cedar Run Road intersection in the Kenova area.
State troopers said Fraley drove southbound when the vehicle crossed the center line, left the lane, struck a steel guardrail on the east shoulder, and then moved back across the roadway.
The vehicle then collided with northbound traffic and overturned on the west side of the road.
Emergency responders arrived after 911 calls, but Fraley died at the scene before transport.
State Police said no impairment factors were involved, and officers continue to review why the vehicle left its lane.
Family members, friends, and the Fort Gay community now mourn Ronald Fraley while remembering a young life that ended far too soon.
